Details:
Wormhole is the weevil-brainchild of singer/songwriter/guitarist Marcus Roberts from the Perth hills of Western Australia. Most efficiently described as “space rock”, Wormhole’s style is epic and raw; a powerful yet beautiful journey into the human psyche, the way they used to do it in the golden days of rock.

Wormhole are:

Marcus Roberts, (guitar / vocals / keyboards)
Joel Watters, (bass / vocals)
Karl Hiller, (guitar)
Alex Megaw, (drums)

In 2006 Wormhole released their debut album, The Prophet. It was well received and found a niche among several radio stations in Australia and abroad, culminating in its first single, “Seven” being picked up by a New York based station and featured for several weeks on the program BTR Rock Block to over 2 million listeners.
Wormhole''s new album "Building Miscellaneous Windows" was recorded in Wormhole studios and Doggox Studios over December 2007-January 2008.
The overall tone of the album is conceptually based and deals with issues relating to the insignificance of the individual and the idea that there are many external forces, both known and unknown, that influence daily existence. There are only seven songs on the album but they are all significant in length with the longest one, What if it Wasn’t Even, rolling out at nine and a half minutes.

Wormhole performs a varied set ranging from acoustic with textural keyboards to a solid rock set. Live performances are coupled with atmospheric projections from our own projector, custom visuals and massive screen. Wormhole is all about putting on the best psychedelic, conceptual show possible.

Some notes on some of the songs..

The Urge is the type of song that represents “all those things that you would rather not think about”. It’s a journey into the trappings of the human mind, to basic human vices and the compulsion to act upon ‘urges’ that you would not normally, necessarily act upon. This idea is probably best summed up in the closing line; “You see me, my mystery control”

What if it Wasn''t Even is a classic epic conceptual song influenced by many listens to Pink Floyd''s song Dogs from their album "Animals". It deals with the idea that not everything is as it seems and is directly focussed on environmental and planetary issues.

Building Miscellaneous Windows is a modern album built for those of us who live in the past, sometimes in the present but mostly the future.
