Ian Harvey and Max Bellingham are Redroque. Primarily a ''recording only'' rock band hailing from the UK, Redroque write songs with a global appeal. Between them they bring a very varied ''bag'' of ideas and crossing boundaries comes as second nature with Max producing other bands in various styles and Ian having played in a bluegrass band for a number of years.
2003 sees them celebrating 10 years of writing and recording together and they have an impressive back catalogue of over 100 songs and 5 album releases. Lyrics get written wherever Ian happens to be with many songs being ''born'' in Ireland but never ever travelling without something to scribble on, some have come back from as far as Sri Lanka. Max is the production side of things and spends many a happy hour slaving over a hot Mac, tweaking this and tightening that.
Second Skin was written and recorded with long-time friend and collaborator Suzie Harris and features her on many vocals throughout the album. The new album, The World As We See It (https://www.tradebit.com has being recorded utilising other talented friends which is putting a slightly different spin on the song production. Outside recordings are adding subtle background soundscapes and the songs are the strongest we''ve ever written.
