Margo grew up near the rocky beaches of Puget Sound outside Seattle. She was raised in a household where, as a young child, she listened to a jazz band rehearse in the living room. At age 13 her mother smuggled her into a Seattle nightclub so that Margo wouldn’t miss seeing the great jazz organist Jimmy Smith.
Margo has performed for over 20 years. Besides jazz combos, she has also sung in Irish, country/western, and swing bands. But her main love has always been the jazz standards that she grew up with, as evidenced by her debut jazz CD, Love You Madly, and her new CD, Chemistry.
