Details:
In August 2005 in the dead, crowded suburbs of the Emerald City, behind the Cascade Mountains in the state of Washington, a young man in high school named Jesse gave up on society, picked up his guitar, and started his first band, (LoFiGunShy) with a drummer named Josh O’Connor. Jesse’s best bud Eric immediately bought a bass guitar and began preparations to join his band someday, though it wouldn’t officially happen for a year. Jesse quit his job pushing carts at an undisclosed corporate conglomerate and devoted his time to making LoFi successful. Together, Jesse and Josh crafted some catchy alternative rock songs, performing at nightclubs while still 16 years old, before breaking up after an incredible recording session a year after forming.

After a few months of wasted time Jesse and Eric finally got together in late 2006 and began writing songs, Jesse playing his infamous red Telecaster, and Eric on bass. They shared vocal jobs, and their styles matched perfectly, considering they both learned their chops from the late, greatest Marysville guitar teacher John Candelario. These songs would eventually become the core set list of The Mercury Tapes, the band they formed with Eric’s neighbor the drummer, Griffin Heath. Griffin perfectly rounded out the band with his ability to play both jazzy beats and hard pounding white-knuckle percussion, switching between the two in the middle of a song with ease and precision. The three piece threw off all rules and false doctrines, and agreed that rock n roll was only about having fun and making music that is GOOD, no matter what the media and cool kids might say. Together they rocked the Marysville scene for a year. Now, it is 2008, and these three: Jesse, Eric, and Griffin are back together after a brief hiatus playing with another skilled drummer from Jesse’s new hometown in Bellingham. The band has some shocking new songs, shows at high profile venues under their belts, and more on the way. Armed with a new name, Model 94 (taken from the famous Winchester rifle, the 1894), be prepared for these guys to bring about some life changing music for years to come.
