"February" was recorded at the A.D. White House at Cornell University, Ithaca New York in the winter of 2004. It was produced as a limited edition of 100 cds.
Ritsu is a violinist that has performed classical acoustic repertoire with symphony orchestras as well as electric original music with electric bass and drum kits.
Influences include Japanese noise bands, Stravinsky, Shostakovich and Prokofiev, Tibetan Buddhist chanting and throat singing, Hendrix, Page, and the Ramones.
Currently performing, composing and exisiting in Ithaca, New York, her latest project is the composition and performance of "ARCTIC REQUIEM," a "duet" with Robert Flaherty''s film, NANOOK OF THE NORTH. It premiered in April of 2004 at Ithaca College, then performed as part of the FLAHERTY SEMINAR''S 50th Anniversary in June of 2004 as well as at New York City''s MOMA.
