After spending time pondering on songs that I''ve enjoyed listening to, performing, and the friends I''ve enjoyed performing and composing music with, I decided it might not be a half bad idea to compile a mix of originals and a few cover tunes for a CD.
The original music is somewhat hard to put a label on style wise. It tends to run the gamut of musical expression, from the big band satiric, Health Food Song, preaching everything in excess, contrary to moderation in our social lives, to the quixotic lyrics and music of Out Of My Mind, a very reflective song. From the a cappella vocals of Mr. Moon and it''s pulsing, percussive beat it offers, to the punctuated horn parts and cool lyrics of Waitin'' For A Stop Sign. Skyscraper, with the funky jazz rhythm, is a kickback to the song''s birth in 1982. Born through the inspiration of hearing Mose Allison and his pulsating and counterpartanic piano and vocals. There. As you listen to RSP, you will appreciate the special synergies between the different musicians producing a melting pot of different sounds and styles ranging in combinations of Jazz, Blues, and Rock and Swing influences. Bill Holloman''s powerful solo in Hal Singers song Hot Rod, keeps you right on the edge of your seat.

Just when you think that it can''t get any better, he kicks it into gear and drives it to another level.

Joe Greico''s powerful, yet sultry vocals, with his unique lyrical phrasing and multitalented keyboard soloing and layering in Runnin'' Blue, Waitin'' For A Stop Sign, not to mention his impeccable back up vocals. And there''s more. A cameo appearance from our youngest vocalist, Erienne Grieco. Yup, you guessed it, Joe''s talented daughter. It won''t be hard to pick her out of the crowd. She features her inspiring back up vocals in Out Of My Mind, Easy Street and Mr. Moon.

Guitarist, Tom Majeski, his jazzy punctuations emanating through Mr. Moon, the song would be good enough just listening to the tasty licks Tom lays down. The lurid guitar fills in Out Of My Mind. Driving, steady rhythm guitar in Stop Sign and Heath Food.

Che'', a well-known percussionist in our area, contributes his polyrhythmic percussional stratagems in Skyscraper, Mr. Moon and Stop Sign. The optimal percussionist, he features a collection of instruments from congas, bongos, talking drums, bells and a wide variety of other percussive instruments.

Bass Guitarist, B.C. Ramus, provides the precision playing on Easy Street, Hot Rod, Skyscraper and his own original tune, Health Food Song, which he provides his own zany form of lyrics and vocals. Dean Cassell orchestrates a melodic, yet solid foundation with his talented bass playing. Dean is featured in Out Of My Mind, Waitin'' For A Stop Sign and Mr. Moon. Last but not least, the driving force and the backbone of the band, Mike "Hopsy" Warner, providing solid, steady and strong rhythm on the drums. A dynamic, talented and often tempestuous drum machine. RSP, you will find is a highly synergistic combination of musical strategies. RSP will grasp you and hold you in a hebetude of musical reverence.

Listen and see…
