MP3 Janu and the Whalesharks - Binocular
Fictional narratives told in the form of melodic and harmonious song. A sound that incorporates the roots of folk with the modern sound of indie-rock. The vocals blend as one choir-like voice, and the music to back them is unique and eloquently composed.

Details:
Janu and the Whalesharks formed as a collective group in February of 2008. Their sound was heavily influenced by the simplicity of early folk artists with the incorporation of a banjo, and mostly acoustic instrumentation. However, the band has now progressed and evolved into something that cannot be described by a single genre. They have found their sound, and the eloquent use of the banjo is still present.
Janu and the Whalesharks'' live performances are described as interactive, full of energy, creative, and "good ol'' fashion rock n'' roll." The musicianship is shockingly elevated, and you would never guess the members ages range from nineteen to twenty-one. The melodious vocals between brother and sister are what grabs the listener immediately, while the story-like lyrics get stuck in their head after the song is over. The catchy and unique music that compliments the vocals brings the whole sound together as a breath of fresh air.
