Details:
This album is the culmination of several years of hard work and personal struggles. Rooftop Society was formed in 2002 under the goal of creating a collective environment in which creativity could be freely expressed. Hailing from Murfreesboro, TN, a hotbed of creative bands formed from the nearby Recording Industry program at Middle Tennessee State University, they sought to create a situation in which everyone was able to bring their influences to the table. Its members had no preconception of what the music should or would sound like. What eventually became the full-length album, 106 Days, was a combination of hard rock, psychedelia, grunge, metal, jazz, and atmospherics. What defines the uniqueness of Rooftop Society is their embracing of eclectic music cultures traditionally outside the scope of hard rock and the realistic optimism of the lyrical content. This is an album that is not content to merely present a couple of good songs. It takes chances and unexpected twists in an effort to preserve the raw energy and unpredictability of the band.

It was recorded in entirety at the band members'' house, where it was also mixed. The result is a recording that not only presents the bands original material, but also maintains the original sound the band has worked so hard to create. The album was digitally recorded using a multi-track hard disk recorder and mastered at a prominent mastering studio in Nashville using HDCD technology, producing a guerrilla recording presented in pristine clarity.

The album is rounded out by a writing piece done by Jonathan Harrison and unique photography done by Brandon Dill, both close friends of the band. It features the bass talents of musicians from many of the most prominent local Murfreesboro bands, who graciously contributed their time and creativity. Things are not always as they first appear and reality can have many levels. This was Rooftop Society''s reality as 106 days passed in the summer of 2004.
