Details:
Run Silent Run Deep started in mid 2003 with their debut album "Season of Fire" After much trials and tribulations the band has firmly established themselves by playing DC, Baltimore, Philly, NYC and Richmond. In November 2004 RSRD released their second album ''Resonate'', which was recorded by Don Zientara (Fugazi, Bad Brains, Dismemberment Plan) and mixed by Bob Dawson (Dave Matthews Band, Mary Chapin Carpenter). RSRD look to extend their fanbase further up and down the eastern coast in 2005.
"Run Silent Run Deep is among the many bands under the influence of the rock antiheroes Fugazi and Slint: these slightly moody, slightly angry lads turn down Fugazi''s noise-rage and update Slint''s smart song structure."
-the New York Times
"with their level of proficiency, boasting excellent players all around and generally playing like they were listening to each other... Run Silent Run Deep mined a sorta Slint-like territory, with a set made up of long, epic compositions with lots of atmospheric, arpeggiated movements, but don''t think it ends there. They like to bring the hammers down, too, and none of their 10-minute crowd-pleasers were complete without at least one Sabbath-inspired riff-fest."
