The son of two successful writers, Ryan Whitney picked up a guitar at 17 and taught himself the acoustic style he grew up hearing daily. His live performances include a wide repertoire of cover songs done in his own style, and feature the original mellow acoustic rhythms Ryan writes. With a gift for melody, his music has a tendency to stay with you long after listening.
Ryan is currently writing and recording new material to further establish himself as an up-and-coming singer-songwriter. During this time he is performing acoustically throughout Southern California, and his band is still gigging on a limited basis with the intent of returning to the stage full-time with a complete set list of new and original material.

SHORT LOVE SONG: In mid-2003, with almost 10 songs and a couple bucks, Ryan and his band spent a few days in a small recording studio in San Diego to record Short Love Song.
