"Shantipur" ("place of peace") is the name of the first album which the young Swiss artist brought back from Ireland. Together with some Irish friends, she recorded 12 songs in the Celtic land last summer.
During 2003, she spent an inspired time in India as well as in Ireland. At first glance, it seems to be a huge contrast, but Sabina is saying:"Actually, both countries are very spiritual and as all folk music is coming from the same root, it''s easy to bring them together somehow". And the very proof is her new CD.
She is fascinated by the sea, the music and the scenery in Ireland. What she likes about India is the multitude of colours and the sprirituality practised in the every-day life of people. "Shantipur is a discovery, is a part of my life", she is telling. "It is an album for ethno-people who are open for different cultures and musical experiments".
One of Sabina''s favourite hobbies is making streetmusic. She can even be found busking on the street during the wintertime wich can be pretty cold in Switzerland...
At the moment, she is giving small concerts.
