Details:
"Scott Kyle is one of the best trombonists anywhere," according to Bill Yeager, Director of Jazz Studies at San Diego State University. Scott has played and recorded with the likes of John Patitucci, Eric Marienthal and Tom Kubis. His new CD, Full Circle, pays tribute to the early innovators of modern jazz.

Between 1989 and 1992, alto saxophonist Christopher Hollyday toured the world as a solo artist and recorded four very successful albums for Novus Records. Prior to that, he toured with Maynard Ferguson. Recognized as one of the era''s "Young Lions," he achieved wide acclaim before the age of 22. Christopher subsequently moved to San Diego to become a jazz educator. In this recording, jazz aficionados will recognize and appreciate subtle ways in which Christopher''s playing has matured and evolved. He was great to begin with, and now he sounds better than ever.

Robert Lawson, Justin Grinnell, and Dave Pschaida may be the best young jazz players you''ve never heard of. Currently working on a Masters degree in jazz at Cal Arts, Rob plays exquisitely, with Wes-like tone, swinging lines and a free-flowing modern harmonic approach. Justin recently completed his Masters in Jazz at SDSU, and his tasty playing has made him one of San Diego''s busiest musicians. Dave Pschaida also plays at SDSU and around San Diego, where he routinely knocks people out with his hip, low-key style.

Full Circle was recorded by Doug Meeuwsen, studio-live like an old Blue Note recording. The quality of the recording is top notch, and Doug''s approach truly captured the interplay, energy, and spontaneity that makes jazz so special.
