Bio of Slow Children At Play (AL)
Slow Children at Play formed in the Spring of 2002. Original members include: Tommy Murfee, Chris Maddox, and Marc Wendorf. Tommy Murfee plays guitar and sings. Marc Wendorf plays bass guitar and also sings. Chris Maddox plays the drums and sings back-up. There debut cd will be released in the Spring of 2005. In 2003, the band played in a battle of the bands hosted by Tuttle and Kline of the X, a radio station in Birmingham, Alabama and received second place. Tuttle and Kline said, "They were phenomenal; I was very impressed with them." "Best new talent around." At Mountain Brook High School''s Battle of the Bands, Ruby Tuesday, they received second place in the contest and Tommy received best stage performance. Tommy is already in college at Birmingham-Southern. Marc will be going to Auburn University. Chris will be going to Southern-Mississippi on a drum scholarship.
