"Shattered Lives," the new debut CD from Bill Scott is a contemporary, light rock blend of percussion, keyboards and vocals with a wide range of musical styles and a very full sound. All 12 songs on the CD were written, arranged and performed by Bill Scott. As a result, the music is very tight in performance and consistent in overall sound. This debut CD was done over nearly a 2 year period as a project intended to feature his unique song writing style and to also raise awareness and funds for various children and family charitable causes. 25% of all sales are contributed to various local and national charities that support the Prevention of Child Abuse and Domestic Violence, Assistance for Homeless and Hungry citizens and Assistance for Children of Fallen Military Personnel. The CD features a number of different musical styles, sure to please many types of listeners. "America Rocks" could be the next great sing along American anthem. "Shine Down" and "Love in Her Eyes" are catchy tunes with great vocals and harmonies, while "Miracle Man" and "Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" are upbeat rockers. Several rock ballads can be found on the CD, including "No Boy," "Teardrop Pillows," and "Sunshine to Black." The song "1,2,3 Times" stands on its own as a catchy, fun tune which is easy (and fun) to sing along with. And, lastly, "Soldier Song," "War is Hell" and the title song, "Shattered Lives" feature direct hitting music and lyrics aimed at the issues of War, Homelessness, Hunger, and Domestic Violence...all issues at which 25% of the proceeds from this CD are directed. Overall, the CD flows well and is a treat to listen to, regardless of one''s musical style preferences.
