Details:
Hatching out of a small garage at an undisclosed location south of Seattle, The Seamonkees burst on the local music scene playing an upbeat blend of traditional surf rock and roll infused with eastern rhythms from around the Pacific Rim and beyond. The main goal of our band is to have fun and it shows! Whether we are rockin'' out to instrumental surf rock classics or jamming to our own material, The Seamonkees guarantee that we will get people on their feet.

The Seamonkees are proud to announce the arrival of their first commercially available recording entitled "They''re Alive." The album presents 18 songs taken from live performances by one of Seattle''s premiere surf rock bands at fairs and festivals around Puget Sound.

Tracks include original tunes like their hit song "Night at the Casbah" and "Snooboogie" which were both written by guitarist Raga Raghavan and featured in the independent movie Green Card Fever.

The CD also shows that The Seamonkees haven''t forgotten their roots by paying tribute to the legends of surf music with covers of several songs by The Ventures, as well as Dick Dale''s Misirlou. There is also a nod to one of The Seamonkees'' favorite bands "Los Straightjackets" with a rendition of the song "Rockula" and their arrangement of the classic "Sleepwalk."

According to bassist Samantha Wilder: "We really wanted to release something that would show what it''s like to spend an hour or two with The Seamonkees." Drummer Tyson Stroh added: "We don''t take ourselves too seriously. We hope that comes through. We are serious about the music but our main goal in a Seamonkees show is to make sure that people have fun!" The Seamonkees'' mix of 60''s style beach party music with their own contemporary sound proves that surf rock in the Northwest is alive and well and should be around for a long time.
