Details:
10 years ago began a personal journey of faith for me. God had put in my heart that I would be involved in music in a way that touched people''s hearts and lives. For those 10 years my focus was always that I wanted to write songs people could identify with yet found myself off-track singing in bars and clubs with cover bands from around the area. It was and has been my dream to pursue my music and I had come to a point where I had found myself without a manager, without a record label and without a band. To struggle as hard as I did and come out nowhere was one of the lowest times in my life. Through anger and frustration I quit music completely and turned to God for direction. For 6 months I waited on Him for answers then began this CD.

It was a process I was going through, "Movin'' On, Lettin'' Go". These were the very words that started my movement to using my gift in exactly the way God had intended. Each song was written throughout a six month journey to discover this person God had created me to be. It was just a title for the CD until one day it became a song that summed up the one thing we all have to realize is our only choice for finding peace in our lives.

"The War Is On" was written about ¾ of the way through the CD. I began to realize that when you are on path with God that the enemy tries to rip away everything that is good and convince you that your no good. One day while driving in the car I asked God why I had to struggle so much, feeling as if I wasn''t good enough and He told me the war is on in my life but that by sending his son to die for me that this war was already won. I still struggle with the enemy but I know now that I can put this armor of the Lord on everyday and I''m protected from the lies of the enemy.

"Who Am I Lord" How many times did I ask God exactly that. I was beginning to get really frustrated because I felt he wasn''t answering me. But what I know now is that He had already told me. God didn''t put this dream in my heart for nothing. But in order to use it in the right way I had to be on track with Him. And that was His answer to me in this song. "Put your faith in me I have your destiny right here in my hands all you''ll ever need to have, I''ll do for you, I''ll make you new." The maker is our answer to who we are and how to achieve that.

"Someday They''ll Follow Me" I wrote this song during a bible study I was attending, feeling God''s frustration in knowing He can guide us and yet daily we pass Him by thinking we can accomplish life on our own. It was this song that clearly opened my eyes to how the Lord communicates with me. I remember as I was working through this song I kept asking the Lord why I didn''t hear Him clearly and then sang the last verse as "someday you''ll follow me" and realized that all this time the Lord was speaking through my music right to my very soul. Sometimes He communicates in some of the most obvious ways but we''re too busy asking Him for direction that we often forget to stop and listen.

"Jesus, You''re All I Need" I had written this song as a worship song before I began making this CD but felt it was fitting for the journey. It took on a life of it''s own in the studio and has turned into one of my favorites on the CD.

"I Am Wanted" Was written for a friend of mine who was struggling with feeling that she wasn''t meant to be on this earth. We all go through so many things in life and make us feel unwanted. It was on my way home after hearing her story that God had given me this promise for her. I wasn''t going to originally put this song on the CD but after sharing it with a few other people I began to realize how many people, including myself, needed to hear that God put us here and has a plan for each one of us. That we are loved and we are wanted.

"One Thing I Know" I wrote this song after seeing, "The Passion Of The Christ". I had struggled with myself about attending this movie because I knew that it would be upsetting to watch and yet I felt pulled and driven to go one day. Armed with tissues sitting as alone as possible the movie began and I realized exactly why I was there. I had been fighting through fear that I wasn''t able to do God''s work, that I wasn''t strong enough and what I saw was Jesus himself struggling with God''s plan for himself. He had fear but through prayer he overcame and continued on this journey that was set out for him. Even through our hardest decisions if we have God on our side we will overcome.

"He''s Changing Me" Written as I began to understand how God was working in my life. I began to emotionally and physically see changes in me. As it says "He''s changing me from the inside out". I''m now dancing in His glory. "He''s healed my heart and he''s healed the pain. I''m so excited about how. He''s changing me!"

"Journey Of Faith" Simply put was that process that continues to create me into a person of God. Someone who at the end of the day can say, I did this for the Lord. It''s been easy and it''s been hard but I know that without the effort life would have continued to be frustrating, yet by following the Lord and following His guidance I am becoming the woman God intended me to be.

"You''re My Salvation" is the first gospel song I ever wrote. It seemed fitting to add it to this CD. Simply put. God is our salvation.

"Breakin'' Out" A choice I hope everyone can make. To break free from the sins and the fears that keep us from being the people we were meant to be. Break free into God''s love and promises for your life.

A year later I can say that the Lord continues to work in my heart and with my music. He has given me back the country music I love with the added benefit of my gospel music as well. I don''t know where my journey will lead and I don''t know all the answers, but I do know that there is someone who does and if I continue to trust in Him, He will show me where to go next.
