In 1987, four rock and roll kids from East Texas and Southwest Arkansas scraped together their nickels, dimes, and quarters and bought a day of studio time in a Texas studio known for its work with gospel groups and church choirs.
These teenagers knocked out ten original songs from their live sets, recording almost 100% live and in some cases in single takes.
The album became On Probation and the band, Flying Objects, were already local legends in their own minds if not the local high school party scene.
Five hundred cassettes were sold out of car trunks, at shows, and through the local record store in the mall, until they were all gone.
Twenty one years later, On Probation has been digitally remastered from the highest quality source available and (along with seven additional tracks never before commercially released) is now available on compact disk as Flying Objects: BLACKJACK.
BLACKJACK is authentic, analog, and raw: the real deal, warts and all. Love it or hate it, this is 100% late 1980''s American rock and roll.
