Simple Machine formed in 1999 with original bassist Kris Grissman and recorded their first full-legnth cd, Solidified in 2000. Solidified got airplay on local rock stations Razor 94.7 and the Fox 96.9, as well as receiving high recognition on independent music website, Just plain Folks. During this period, they played with/opened for: FULL DEVIL JACKET, FROM ZERO, NOTHING FACE, DOG FASHION DISCO, AMERICAN HEADCHARGE, CHIMAIRA, ILL NINO, 40 BELOW SUMMER, NO ONE, KITTIE AND HAIR OF THE DOG.

After three years and a change of lineup, they have released their new cd, the Secret Telling of the Cosmic Yelling Tribe. With new bassist Jon Wheelock, they have pushed themselves further musically than ever before.
