MP3 The Sins - The Beginning

Seven roads to hell... and music to enjoy the ride.

11 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Goth, ROCK: Hard Rock

Details:
Straight from the sordid depths of Seattle''s gothic underground, The Sins'' debut CD, The Beginning, delivers the ultimate dark-rock experience. Inspired by a wide range of artists, from early British gothic rock bands such as Sisters of Mercy and The Mission U.K. to with American rock legends like The Doors and Black Sabbath, The Sins have paved their own musical path combining the familiar sounds of the goth/punk past with their own modern rock influences and ideas. The result is a fascinating blend of genres and sounds from the middle-east-influenced tones of "Ecstasy in Oblivion", to the old school punk feel of "So Many Ways", to the more traditional goth vibe of "Little Girl Lost." The aggressive (yet catchy) track "Angels" is already becoming a club favorite, spun by DJs from coast to coast, as well as in the UK.

Featuring 3 former members of popular Seattle goth band 3SKS (Tri-State Killing Spree), The Sins are already captivating audiences with dynamic stage presence, vigorous showmanship, and strikingly unique songs. What separates this band from so many others is their cutting-edge diversity, enabling them to appeal to a broad and diverse audience base.

Reviews:

"The Sins are as dark as the soul of an alcoholic preacher, and just as tragically heroic. They are thankfully devoid of the pretense usually associated with the bleak romanticism of goth rawk, and get straight to the stoic business of painting their tales of steely eyed dust devils squinting under a blood moon in broad strokes of crimson and nightshade, aided greatly by the washes of almost black metallic funereal keyboards and epic guitars that sound as thought their clawing their way up some unholy mountain with bloodied hands." - New York Waste, April 22, 2002

"The Sins have garnered many favourable reviews for their live stage performances. Their influences are the trad-goth guitar-driven bands of the 80''s (Sisters of Mercy, Fields of the Nephilim and The Mission) and it shows. Of course, being a fan of those bands made me more inclined to like them...and I did." - Pat Hawkes-Reed (GothPat), Legends Magazine, August 2002

"Gothic Rock the way it should be. Our generation''s version of bands like The Mission UK, Fields of the Nephilim and The Cult. This is big, gritty, full tilt rock with all the darkness, brooding anger and mystery you could ask for. Immensely talented musicians from various backgrounds contribute making this band one of the most musically sound bands I know who can pull off amazing improvs at their live shows functioning as one like-thinking organism. It''s absolutely amazing what these guys can accomplish." - Blu, Star Vox Music Zine, January 2003
