"Los Angeles is home to my man
Smokey Joe Wood .
I''ve been playing in great bands with this guy longer than I care to admit.
He''s gone through more costume changes than freaking Mae West.
Don''t ask me why he hasn''t caught on. Some things can not be explained."

"Joe sucks! The chicks like him because he sings good. The dudes dig him because he''s got the guitar thing down . I hate him because he told me he would make me rich. Hell, he lied to his wife too. "
Willard Frye (drummer)

" I''ve known Woody since we were at Berklee (college of music) a long time ago.
Even at nineteen he had an impressive catalog of original music. The rest of us
were just riffing. He''s a great natural songwriter. This isn''t something he got into
after he realized maybe he needed a few more bullets in his gun. He recorded
his first album while still in high school back in the early seventies. (I still have it).
Do yourself a treat."
Ricky Fugue (lawyer,friend)

Who would have figured it could come to this. Hawking my music in Cyberville.
I remember plugging into my first Twin Reverb while playing with the "Amplified Closet". Incense and Peppermint baby. Oh well, it''s all about moving forward
and the fires still burn just as they did while playing in those high school gyms way back in northern New York.
This is my third solo album on Jailbird Records. I''m beginning to think that
perhaps their operating budget is a little too small to expect big things.
Thanks for visiting my life.

BY THE WAY
The man on my cd cover is my grandfather, pictured in Fenway Park, Boston. He played on the 1915 Red Sox as a team mate of Babe Ruth. See my web site for that story.
Much Love, joe
