Stacey grew up in beautiful Mendocino County of Northern California. At age 11, while walking through majestic redwood forests with her flute, she started improvising her own songs. Still today her music is inspired by her personal relationship with nature. Although Stacey studied both piano and flute, she always retained her uniquely natural style of composition. Stacey draws upon traditional modal scales; her melodies echo a reminiscent call to many cultures – her music will take you around the world, and back through time, as you hear Asian, Celtic, Indian, and other exotic, often ancient styles blending with sounds of nature and other instruments. Yet while listening to her music you will somehow always feel that you too, are walking through a beautiful forest breathing in the fresh scent of pine, or sitting alongside a pristine waterfall, or perhaps walking upon a gorgeous beach, watching the perfect sunset.
