Singer/songnwriter George Casey has been swiftly capturing music industry attention with a style and sound that, though reminiscent of many of the greats, remains truly his own. From working with famed producer/ guitarist, Tavis Stanley (Thornley, Suzie McNeil) to multiple Juno award winner Gerry Young, of Current Management; his up coming first CD (Get it On) with its magnetic mix of moxie and motley, has landed George record release.
George never envisioned himself becoming a musician, while growing up in the miniscule city of Pembroke Ontario Canada, which lines the shores of the Ottawa River. Though always a devoted music fan (with a passion for a universe of artists and genres) he did little more than dabble with a guitar in his early years. Adventuring to the big city of Toronto in the late nineties, a songful surge implored in George, this surge continues to flow through him like a tributary from his childhood vista. Within a rapid’s pace, he was self taught in guitar, singing and composing. Songs flooded out that immediately carried praise and encouragement from many of his peers, including some within the music industry. Embarking on a new adventure, George is now introducing his music to the stage and to the public.
