The History Of Scott Morrisson Band:

Scott received his first guitar in 1990. In 1991, Scott teamed up with, then beginning drummer, John Eide. Together, they attempted to organize and maintain a cover band. Almost by accident, Scott constructed his first original song to "throw in" during a cover set at, the now defunct, "Rock and Roll Unlimited" club. The response was more positive than anticipated. As a result, the cover band had morphed into an original metal act called "Relentless." After a rough demo tape, a handful of third class gigs, unhealthy distractions, and the short attention span of being mere children, "Relentless" died in 1993.

In 1999, being fresh out of college and in the real world, John Eide miraculously found the elusive Scott Morrisson. After five years of no contact, the two decided maybe it was a better time to try again, but with a different take. Thus, began the band called "Sonorus." Again, with a handful of small gigs, a semi-decent CD, and an extremely dysfunctional relationship between the lead female vocalist and Scott, "Sonorus" was dead in late 2000. As a positive, the band was fortunate enough to meet Adam Archibald, the current SMB bass guitarist.

In early 2002, Scott, John, and Adam decided to try yet again. This time the project was called, "Something." Scott now had access to a good recording studio. A four song demo was released in July 2002. After trying and failing twice before, Scott and company got off to the best start to date. Shows at larger clubs and positive fan responses were beginning to gel. During this time, John Eide lobbied Scott hard to change the band name to Scott Morrisson Band. Through the years of unstable band lineups, in addition to Scott being the primary composer. John thought it would serve Scott''s long term viability in a more constructive manor. Unfortunately, a few band members objected, resulting in a few more lineup changes. Being the true blessing in disguise it was, those lineup changes have worked out for the best. The final additions became Brandon Petron on guitar and Seth Dufresne on keyboard / back vocals.

Sadly, in 2003, John Eide had life pulling him in too many directions. After years of providing rhythms, it was time for him to hang it up for good... or so he thought. SMB continued on throughout the year. Other good members have filled in on occasion throughout this time period, including Gary Spencer on drums, Brady Lillie on guitar, Nate Babbs on drums, "Dano" on drums, and Matt Abro on drums. Slightly over a year later, John has returned with a newer lease on life.

"Now, we as SMB, present our first full length album to you, our fans. We hope it provides a small piece of enjoyment to your life... and maybe... just maybe, years in the future, you will pull out this "old CD" and play it. When you do, enjoy the forgotten fond memories of today as they flood into your mind."
