Details:
Once there were three boys called The Transmitters. In Fall 2001, they met a fourth boy in Fort Worth, Texas and became the Snowdonnas, creating a melodic and dreamy mixture of sounds that combine and wrap around you to keep you warm on those cold and lonely nights.
The debut Snowdonnas recording, Over Now, was recorded in Austin, Texas with Rory Phillips as producer/engineer, and was mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music.
The album was released on 25 March 2003 by the Austin, Texas-based label Ballyhoo Withdrawal Records.
The months leading up to the release date produced a stack of favorable reviews and writeups from both local and national sources, including a Los Angeles Times article titled "Meet the Newgazers." In the first weeks of its CD release, the band has seen a continued stream of solid press, college radio interviews and airplay, and nomination for New Artist in the Fort Worth Weekly 2003 Music Awards.
Snowdonnas continue to support the release of Over Now with area and regional live shows, in-store performances and a maintained presence in college radio and local press.
"Over Now, the Snowdonnas'' debut, shifts and swirls blissfully."
Teresa Gubbins, Dallas Morning News
"They sound almost too good, too polished, to have come from anywhere but, ya know, Dubuque (certainly not Cowtown, anywhere but here)."
Hearsay, Fort Worth Weekly
"Definitely intelligent rock."
