Sonny Boy''s music ranges from the jazz soul of Me''shell Ndgeocello, the funk of Jamiroquai to the more hiphop/funk/R&B song writing style of The Roots. The founder, Sheldon Riser, who is the vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, has produced, composed, arranged and written three full length CDs for the group.
Working for artist from the Prince camp as well as artist from the P-Funk circle, Shel became the leading force behind the Sonnyboy. Starting the group in 1993 in Minneapolis Minnesota, were they built there extensive musical range. They has been toured from the Midwest through the East coast as well as Canada and Europe promoting Sonnyboy Through there Label Artform Entertainment.
