Two strangers met…
One, a musician with a heart for worship; the other a poet with some words and a desire to create a song for a local church fundraiser. "A HOLE IN THE ROOF" was the song, but a good friendship was the result. Other songs followed over the next few years.
"CANDLE IN THE WINDOW" was written for a husband as a memorial for his beloved wife of more than 50 years. After a friend pointed out that the things we love in others are the reflections of God we see in them, the words took on a new meaning.
"HAPPY IN HEAVEN" was written for a friend’s mother. We knew she was one of many who pray these words for their children.
"I NEVER MADE IT TO NASHVILLE" was written in response to a comment about what defines a successful musician.
"RAIN DOWN ON ME" is about having your feet on a firm foundation of faith during stormy times when it is harder to see, hear, or feel the presence of God.
“Worry is taking on responsibility God never intended for me”, printed on a family member’s business card reminds us "NOT TO WORRY".
"GO AND TELL THE WORLD" is from words Jesus spoke when sending out His disciples to witness. Words whispered in the darkest hours that help us make it through until the morning light is what we have to go and tell to others.
"I BOW DOWN" represents the two ways we bow before God; one with guilt asking for mercy and the other with gratefulness having received it.
True sadness at watching laws being passed that, in effect, ban Jesus from public moved us and many others to join our voices to call out, "I WANT MY JESUS BACK".
We began receiving requests for copies of the songs. So, here they are. Each has its own story and will reach its own destination where, hopefully, the listener will be blessed.
The last line in "GLADLY" says it best for both of us,
“Lord, we gladly hand it all to You…”
TIM FRANTZ is owner/producer at Mountain Dog Musicworks Recording Studio in Southern California. Tim wears many hats on this album as Vocalist, Multi-Instrumentalist, Producer, and Engineer. He also has a solo acoustic guitar album entitled, "One on One".
