Born in Washington, DC and brought up in its suburb of P.G. County, Maryland, Sol was taught the fundamentals and extensions of vocals in church singing with his sister and mother, then further honing his skills in Durham, NC in choirs in and around his alma mater, North Carolina Central University (with friend and classmate, Yahzarah).
After returning home, Sol made a name for himself in D.C.''s open-mic/poetry scene doing a combination of spoken word and singing when he happened upon a local act, Zwei and embarked on what can only be described as an expose'' in D.C./MD/https://www.tradebit.com''s talent pool-Song of Solomon.
