Growing Something Underground

Something Underground won''t be underground for long. With a huge Colorado following and a brand new debut album "SLIDES," two handsome brothers, a cello, and a bad ass rhythm section are heading your way to rip up some sound waves near and around your head.

At the ages of 2 & 6, The Larson brothers, Josh and Seth picked up instruments to accompany their already musical parents. Their family became jokingly known as "The Von Larsons," but this was just the beginning of what would become a musical odyssey for the boys. Before they knew it they were playing out all the time. From local coffee shops selling the buzz of hot black juice, to the frozen blocks of a broken hearted Oslo, to the one and only Euro Disney, these nomads found their start, their individual styles, their driving groove, and that it was more than just having fun. Somewhere, somehow, at some point, Something Underground had moved in them, twisted and turned inside them, transformed them into the music and then returned them again; this time as dedicated musicians. Meeting up with Todd Krieger (cello, bass) in 1996, Something Underground grew.

Something Underground''s music slips over audiences like warm waves of Cashmere; inviting them; tempting them with meditative calm; seducing them with harmonies that pull at the most innate of yearnings. No doubt about it, they are a great live band: Tight, Energetic, Fiery, Magnetic, Funny, & Really Talented! They have captured the hearts of fans all over Colorado and throughout the Midwest due not only to their musical capabilities, but their energy, their passion, their integrity and ingenuity (They''re paying for their album by doing renovation work on the studio it was recorded in).

Something Underground is something coming up. Don''t miss out.

Recent Press:

KRFC 88.9FM "Spotlight on Live @ Lunch" - "The phone rings. It''s Lunasa, there''s been a scheduling snafu, and they can''t make it to their 12:30 live interview with Chris Harris at KRFC''s studio. It''s 10 o''clock. A very cool poster and a pile of flyers lie scattered across one of the desks, dropped off by a band called "Something Underground." They have a gig at Avo''s on March 25th. With seven minutes to airtime, three of the four members of a band who''s played with Better Than Ezra, Opie Gone Bad and Tinker''s Punishment fly through the door of the station. Dressed in paint-stained Carharts, forearms caked with drywall mud, and with guitars and a cello in tow, Josh Larson, Seth Larson and Todd Krieger of Something Underground have interrupted the renovation work on their recording studio and made it up from Westminster in record time for "Live @ Lunch." The very personable guys are as grateful for the airtime as Chris is for their gracious last-minute fill-in. (Bonus: they''re great.) "I tend to have good luck," Chris says. Something Underground proved that."

https://www.tradebit.com - "Holy $#!@! I''m sitting here listening to your CD that came in the mail yesterday. Every single tune is fabulous - ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! I have got to say that you guys are one of the most awesome groups I''ve ever heard. I''m wondering if you aren''t already stars and just putting your stuff up here for kicks."

Chris Harris from KRFC 88.9FM Ft. Collins - "You really ought to get out and check these guys out live. They''re just amazing! Tight, very energetic, funny... Their hearts are in it. They''re in it for life."
