I''ve been involved in music most of my life and have done a lot of different styles as reflected in my writing. Although I consider this to be Alt Country there are elements of folk, swing and rock. I don''t believe that any of the players would consider themselves country so that creates a different feel and is what I was after. We also got a "live" feel since the songs were done with very little rehearsal and then embellished later. Most of the musians played gratis which, I feel, says something since several of the players are somewhat well known or have been. Lisa Germano played with John Mellencamp and has several C.D.''s on her own. The late Bill Wilson was a Columbia Recording Artist once touted as "the next Bob Dylan". He also co-wrote Sultans of Swing with Mark Knopler while they were doing a Dylan session in Nashville. Art Nash was the drummer for the Mason Profit Band from the late sixties and early seventies. They were one the first bands to delve into country rock! Ron Keithe was half of the Keithe Lowrey duet. They got four stars for their album Avec Moi in 1970. They did classical finger picking on steel string guitars. Ron was one of my producers and played several instruments on my record. All in all I believe we did a recording that I am very proud of!
