Siobhán Pettit has a uniqueness of talent that could stand alone anywhere. Born in Ireland, she began her career singing folk music and was introduced to jazz in New York whilst studying with Mike Mitchell in Carnegie Hall.
Siobhán has lived and worked as a professional singer in Dublin, New York and Paris. She now lives in Belfast, N. Ireland with her husband - bass player, composer and record producer, Rod Patterson
Siobhán has released two albums:- Verse & Chorus (2000) - featuring well known and not so well known verses to standards such as Pennies From Heaven, Body & Soul, More Than You Know................ and her most recent Album Long Ago Tomorrow (2003) featuring 14 classic songs by Bert Bacharach, Hal David and Elvis Costello.
Her recent performances include:
** A tour of The Philippines where her album, Long Ago Tomorrow reached No.3 in the Album Charts
** a performance of six songs in Baguio, Philippines for the President of the Philippines
** Belfast Festival At Queens
** Cork Jazz Festival
** Hollywood Jazz Festival
** Concert in the National Concert Hall, Dublin
** St. Patrick''s Day concert in Parliament Buildings, Stormont, Belfast
Siobhán is a regularly featured artist on Ulster Television, BBC (N.I), and RTE.
She provided backing vocals on Van Morrison''s album "Down the Road" and has worked with such names as Englebert Humperdink, Brian Kennedy and Michael Bolton amongst others.
Among Siobhán''s fans are Bill Clinton whom she sang for during his visit to Belfast.....and 007 James Bond - Roger Moore, who was part of the audience at one of her recent gigs in Belfast!
