Spinning Images is a hard-rocking four-piece from Long Island, NY armed with driving guitars, heavy hooks, and impassioned, heartfelt vocals. The band-comprised of singer/guitarist John Hagedorn, guitarist Brian Kearins, bassist Chris Schleich, and Rob Siano on drums-has opened for touring acts such Godsmack, Fuel, Three Doors Down, Jimmy Eat World, Dishwalla, Sponge, and Quiet Riot, and appeared at the Woodstock ''99 festival.
Spinning Images recently released their strongest effort to date: a 10-song LP called DNA, which is already garnering positive reviews. "Commercial radio will swallow smash singles such as ''Maybe'' and the sensitive ''Self Destruct,'' the scream-core kids will eat up the track ''Til Tuesday,'' and cuts like ''Indecisive'' and ''Pearl'' will cement Spinning Images'' credibility with its public," raved Harlan Friedman, Music Director at WLIR 92.7.
While the band''s influences are far-ranging-everything from Sunny Day Real Estate to Bob Marley-their music is uniquely their own and defies easy categorization. "Each of us has been inspired on a personal level by the music we relate to, and that has affected our lives," lead singer Hagedorn said. "DNA is an album that addresses reality," Hagedorn says. "I think that while it touches on some darker issues such as anxiety and lost hope, it speaks the truth."
The album, produced by Vivek J. Tiwary and Scrap 60 (Anthrax, H2O, Ill Nino, Primer 55), promises to build upon Spinning Images'' strong foundation and solid fan base to launch the band into the national spotlight. In DNA, Spinning Images finally has a record that matches the high intensity of the band''s live performance.
