Since its original conception in January 2003, Identity X''s music has evolved, grown, and matured like a fine wine or a bottle of aged scotch (whichever you prefer). With members David Toole (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Darin "D-Napps" DiNapoli (Guitar), Christopher Sheader (Bass), Martin Oscar (Guitar), and most recently Jim Krieger(Drums), each dedicating ample time perfecting their skills as not only songwriters but also as performers, the band as a whole has become quite a regional spectacle in the genre of Rock/Alternative. With musical roots deeply embedded in rock, metal, jazz, blues, and even classical, their sound is an artistic expression rich in dynamics, beauty, and aggression.
Identity X has become quite self sufficient. Over the past 4 years they''ve successfully funded tours through New York, Ohio, West Virginia, and statewide through Pennsylvania.
In 2007, band members David Toole & Darin DiNapoli, along with independent filmmaker and good friend Brad Grimm, self produced a music video for Identity X''s Archetype. The video was awarded a prestigious College Emmy from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in Hollywood, California for Best Overall Musical Production. The video beat out over 80 other entries from across the United States.
Over the past few years Identity X has been fortunate to share the stage with several national acts: Taproot, Sevendust, Dear Enemy, The Almost, Army of Anyone, Black Light Burns, Senses Fail, From Autumn to Ashes, Jimmie''s Chicken Shack, Solidium, BlameShift, and Waiting for a Miracle.
The members of Identity X pride themselves in consistently turning heads and will continue to do so until every man, woman, and child nationwide have stiff necks.
