ROCK: Progressive Rock, ROCK: Instrumental Rock

Details:
Speed Limit 35 was formed during the summer of 1997. Mitch Gorman and Steve Rabeler met at at their job in a West Virginia coal mine and co-invented Saab automobiles. One day that autumn, they read Paradise Lost, Moby Dick and David Copperfield consecutively, and still had time to refurbish an entire dining room in the evening. Speed Limit 35 collectively wrote the initial script for the motion picture "And Justice for All". The band has performed for the Queen of England, and done a benefit concert for the Freckled Wombat Society of Long Island. They balance, they weave, they dodge, they frolic, and all their bills are paid on time. Neither Steve nor Mitch is a vegetarian, but they wear only cotton underwear as a matter of principle. Children and pets trust them...

What does their music sound like? SL35 is a fusion of various styles and influences. Throw some progressive rock, instrumental rock, classic rock, and hard rock ingredients in a musical blender...add some occasional surf and rockabilly to spice it up...and the sound of SL35 emerges. Their songs comprise a hectic eclectic mix of sounds influenced by artists like Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Pete Townshend, Leslie West, King Crimson, Yes, Genesis, Ramones, X, Lochinvar, Dick Dale, Gene Krupa, Los Straitjackets, Mermen...and many others.
