Stasean is the musical identity of Sean Michael Crouse, an electronic dance music producer/remixer in Los Angeles, California. The Stasean sound is mainly aimed at the progressive house landscape, with occasional tracks circling in a lighter, ambient atmosphere. Originally spelled Station, he changed the name to a more personal "Sean" spelling in 2000.
Sean started on this electronic journey in the ''90s to satisfy a constant desire to create music. He has previously played the bass guitar and studied the violin in earlier school years. He is equally at home listening to classical masterpieces as he is hitting the dance floor to the likes of Sasha & Digweed.
Stasean''s musical goals include signing a single to a dance label, remixing, and licensing music for tv/film. He frequently enters remix contests and submits demo tracks to DJ''s and labels. Two remixes have been completed with Anne Catalino for a talented Italian singer, Linda for CNI-Italy. A handful of Stasean tracks have been signed by a music publisher. One Stasean track, "Pusha" was picked in 2002 for an electronica sampler of unsigned ASCAP artists.
Sean is member of ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) and SAG (Screen Actors Guild). He is currently a student, pursuing an Engineering degree (undecided specialty at this time), fitting in music classes as well.
