Details:
Stereo Rookie''s Something For Everybody is the first full length release from this Dallas based trio. Brothers Daran (keys, guitar) and David (vocals, bass) DeShazo along with Aaron Kelley (guitar, violin) wrote and produced Something For Everybody at Kelley''s studio between 2003 and 2004 with the sole intent of putting out a record that reflected what they value in music: strong songs with strong production, and no gimmicks or underlying cuteness. Stereo Rookie enlisted the help of Chomsky''s James Driscoll (additional engineering) and Matt Kellum (drums), and The Adventures Of Jet''s Rob Avsharian (drums) to round out the project. Although the songs span from anthemic (More, Kneepads and Listerine) to lo-fi (Brand New Rope) David DeShazo''s voice ties everything together honestly, and convincingly. Currently, Stereo Rookie is working on a follow up album due to be released by the end of the year.
