Details:
Stig Skovlind:
Very experienced singer/songwriter from Elsinore Denmark.
The Coffeeshop:
The name of the band and the way Stig is naming his music style - "Coffee Pop". Different colours - different rythms - different life''s - different together.

2004 - Stig is establishing his name releasing "Breaking news from the coffeeshop" on May 3rd. He is backing the release by touring in Denmark with his 11 peace band. The Coffeeshop is making an increasing draw.

Stig sold several hundred copies on the release day because of his brilliant idea of getting preorders to back the album.

"Dear Stig, Your songs make me feel good. I can feel it in my heart. I can even smell Cuba, South-Africa and hot coffee"
A fan

In 1999 Stig travelled once again and hit Havana. He met a young cuban piano player - Julio Cesar Jimenez. They became friends and started talking about recording together. So finally in 2003 Stig decided to turn the dream into reality and he set up a preordering website. And within the next 10 days he had reached his goal of receiving 500 preorders on his not yet recorded album! Stig got the preorders from people in his hometown that knew him and his musical acticities from before.
In may 2004 Stig and Julio released their new album "Breaking news from the Coffeeshop" which is a blend of Stig''s experienced songwriter skills and Julio''s Cuban arrangements. Musically it''s a melting pot - where singer/songwriting meets latin and african style arrangments and ends up in a hot, soft mixture, vibrant and honest played by full acoustic band in the studio.

In 1996 he released his first solo album "Coffee & love". It had good reviews and was positively compared with Paul Simon''s world famous Graceland album from the midth 80''s. Stig''s songs are living in the near neighbourhood of mr. Simons - no doubt - Stig telling his stories playing some of the same ''strings'' that mr. Simon does. Stig''s songs from "Coffee & Love" are straight forward popsongs about life seen through the eyes of a spiritual man travelling this world. People that ownes "Coffee & Love" find it joyfull and it brings them in good mood whenever they put it on.

Since Stig was very young he has been travelling many parts of the world. Especially african and latin countries has caught Stig''s heart and for the last 10 years he has written songs and arranged them with exotic flavours melting his songs into the musical patterns of those big musical invironments.
