Here it is, Stuart Maybe''s 4th and (considered by many) best album. From the opening guitar crackle of "Saturday Night" to the fading drone of toms that ends "All," Psychoceramic is a landmark album. Maybe has a lot on his mind, reminiscing about a less-than-chaste nun ("Sister Nancy"), drinking his sorrows away with a bottle of Vermouth ("Forgotten"), and bragging about the pitbull he once patriotically painted to impress his neighbors ("God, Guns and Guts"). He tells stories and paints images that simply shouldn''t belong in rock songs; but Stuart Maybe finds them homes in his carefully crafted tunes, and does so with a fire-in-the-belly zeal that is so lacking in today''s music. As usual, Maybe writes and performs nearly all his parts, including the blaring horns and the swirling violins. Indeed, with Psychoceramic, Maybe has raised the bar for himself, the industry, and all fellow rockers.
