Something Fierce began in late 2005 as a simple punk band with a love for acts like The Buzzcocks and The Clash, and they have grown at an explosive rate. No one saw them coming, but many have taken notice.
Within the first year, they recorded a full-length album, Come For The Bastards, with Frenchie of Young Heart Attack. The band received accolades for this debut album from all across the US.
However, they were still a young band, and it wasn''t until their sophomore year that Something Fierce began opening shows for headliners such as the Riverboat Gamblers, Valient Thorr, The Bomb, Clorox Girls, the Marked Men, Jay Reatard and recently The Queers. As soon as they purchased a van in the summer of 2007, the band self-financed and booked several tours across the southern United States, going as far north as Wisconsin and back, and they released a split 7" vinyl with The Hangouts on Manic Attack Records.
Something Fierce has been featured in articles for the Associated Press, The Houston Chronicle, The Houston Press, ENVY Magazine, and many more. The Associated Press article ran on dozens of large media giants like https://www.tradebit.com, YahooNews, ABC, MSNBC, and even in printed versions of Stars & Stripes.
The upstart band was officially selected to play South By Southwest in 2008, and they will be touring the US in support of their newest album, There Are No Answers.
