More of a roving recording project than a traditional band Stereocrash is the musical expression of its founder Charles Perkins assited by his lovely girlfriend on vocals. Now nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia near Charlottesville Stereocrash has put together a third home studio and has found a renewed interest in songwriting. ''Vegas Daydream'' is the second release from Stereocrash and has never sounded better. A departure from the previous release music_to_crash_to in that ''...Daydream'' is a much more direct songwriting effort yet it still has a dreamy quality that Sterocrash fans should appreciate. Much of the content was written between 2000 and 2002 drawing heavily from cross-continent travel experinces and wanderings in the American deserts of New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Nevada. A third record is in the works as well as a search for a film project in need of an original score.
