Koen Vermeiren

°1953. Studied classical guitar at the Zoltan Kodaly Academy. He taught himself mallets (vibraphone and marimba), flute and percussion.
On this cd, he plays: guitar, vibes, marimba, traverso, tabla''s, bass, psalter, likembe, percussion.
In 1974 he founded the popgroup Poltergeist, and remained a member until the group disbanded in 1981.
Later on he worked with several musicians on different projects, some rather jazzy or experimental.
In 2008 he and Paul Gyles decided to make a new cd with own compositions under the name POLTERGEIST.

Paul Gyles

° 1955. Started as autodidact at the age of 15. Jazz course at Marcel Bossu (Belgian jazz legend).
On this cd, he plays: guitars, bass, psalter, percussion.
At the age of 20 he joined Par Hasard, a French inspired musette band. Joined Poltergeist in 1977 till their split.
In 1982 he became a member of Magenta (Dutch language rock band) and recorded 4 singles with this band. Guest guitar player on 1st LP Hans de Booy (two tracks featuring Toots Tielemans). In 1992 he became a member of De Bende (Dutch language rock band with singer Roland Arnould ). They had a Radio hit with the single ''Nooit Alleen''.
TV and radio shows, another 3 singles followed.
Different bands untill the Paintings-project with Koen Vermeiren and the ''reunion'' of POLTERGEIST.
