December 2008 Meet the Neighbors is Radioran’s debut CD, a remarkable set of rock songs with whip smart lyrics set against the turbulent political and economic time that the songwriters live in. This CD is more remarkable for the fact that Radiorain’s singer/songwriter/musicians consist of the duo of Jann-Michael Greenburg, age 14, and Chambers Volk, age 15 who are real life neighbors.
Both Jann-Michael and Chambers played together in a cover band of very talented musicians who grew apart at the duo’s insistence at writing and performing their own music in the face of intense opposition from the parents of the other musicians. From this point forward, the duo focused their efforts into crafting a double CD, originally titled “Small Stories About Small People”. However, due to the fact that the recording process had to be scheduled around their school calendar, they moved away from their double CD and will follow this debut up with “The Witch is Dead”.
