Hymns have been a part of my earliest memories.
I remember my Mom singing, “A Shelter in the Time of Storm..” as we were huddled together inside an old fishing boat, in the middle of a storm, and her quivering voice calming my 4 year old fears.
My Dad, a preacher and an avid singer, began teaching me music notations using a hymnal.
In church I remember feeling a sense of reverence, dignity, and awe, when I would hear the organ starting to play. It felt like there was Someone bigger and stronger that would make everything better.
Though I sing a wide variety of styles now, I find that I long to hear more and more the old, old story sung the old, old way. The presence of God is real as memories also flood my mind and I am reminded once again that the love of God is greater still.
Enjoy, meditate, and allow these timeless songs, as inspired by the piano accompaniment and sung in a slightly new way, bring you also, in the presence of our Timeless God.

Received his Bachelor of Music Degree in Choral Conducting and Voice from the University of the Philippines. Has directed numerous church, school and community choirs in Manila while operating his private music studio averaging around 40 students. he also toured Asia, Europe and North America with the world renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers as soloist, the only two-time grand champion of the prestigious European Grand Prix for Choral Singing. Richard arrived in Chicago, IL in 1994 where he continued pursuing his music carreer. He trained with several voice coaches in Chicago, while performing in various professional choirs and solos. He is currently residing in Minnesota with his wife Felicia and 5 year old daughter, Malaya.
