Music Veteran John Sullivan Makes His CD Debut With Many Voices

Vermont resident John Sullivan has been making and performing music for over 30 years. In late 2003 he performed with Joey Molland''s Badfinger and Jon Butcher during some East Coast concert dates. He has also performed with artists such as Joe Cocker, Steven Tyler, and James Montgomery.

2004 marks Sullivan''s first CD release, Many Voices. The CD has been released on ATOM Records, an independent label based in Dayton, OH. When asked why he chose to release his first CD now, Sullivan answered, "It just felt like the right time for my original songs to be heard. And the flood gates have opened because I am already working on my next CD."

Many Voices is an appropriate title for a CD that at times will remind one of later-day John Prine, the alternative rock of the Foo Fighters, and there''s even a techno-sounding tribute to George Harrison (India Cries). Through the years Sullivan has placed high in national song writing contests, and his song writing shines on Many Voices.

Life-learned lessons are covered in the CD opening track, Patience and Faith. Those lessons are expanded upon in Dreams of Our Youth and Glimmer of Hope. John has also written a moving 9/11 song (Everything Changed) that avoids the clichés that often taint songs about this tragic date in recent US history.

On his new CD, Sullivan is supported by The John Sullivan Band which features Kevin Trybulski on guitar, Eric Eaves on bass and Andy Hanscom on drums. The CD''s Engineer, Joe Pod, also helps out on guitar. John, both solo and with his band, perform often throughout the New England area.

For those willing to take a chance on this "new" artist, you will be rewarded with a great CD and you''ll wonder why John Sullivan waited so long for his Many Voices to be heard.
