Details:
Hal Aqua, Steve Brodsky and Saul Rosenthal have been entertaining audiences in Denver and around the country independently for many years. Aqua is the leader of the world-beat band, Los Lantmun. Brodsky is a founding member of Mah Tovu, a top Jewish rock and roll band while Rosenthal is a Cantor at Conservative Congregation Rodef Shalom in Denver. Separately they have all produced outstanding CD collections of contemporary folk, folk-rock and world beat Jewish music.

In September 2005 the three came together to become “Boychiks in the Mood," combining their talents and song-writing in a concert kicking off the synagogue''s 50th anniversary and honoring Cantor Saul on his 20th year on the pulpit.

The CD contains 12 songs recorded live that evening including classics by Debbie Friedman, Israeli artists Sheva and Chamutal Ben Zev, Reb Shlomo Carlebach (z’l), Linda Hirschhorn and Steve Dropkin, as well as music composed by Aqua and Brodsky. There is a Reggae version of Hinei Matov, a bluegrass arrangement of Al Shlosha D’varim, and a Sephardic L’chah Dodi.

Full of energy and with great harmonies, "Boychiks in the Mood - Live in Concert" is just plain good Jewish fun.
