Details:
The Surrealistics'' debut CD, "Me For You & Euphony", offers the hottest gypsy jazz sounds you will hear this side of the Atlantic.

"The Surrealistics" are a group of musicians who call New England their home. This CD contains original compositions, and their live repertoire of all acoustic music also includes selections made famous by such notables as Django Reinhardt, Billie Holiday, and Duke Ellington to name a few. The star of this outfit is undoubtedly its lead guitar player and mandolinist, Jerry Miller.

Though by nature quiet and unassuming, Jerry is the kind of player who commands your attention, and after that, your steadfast respect. He is a musician''s musician.

Born in the Southeast and raised in Nashville, Jerry began piano at age 7 but quickly switched to guitar because "you can take it with you". The first song he picked apart was "Wildwood Flower", and by age 11, he had his own band.

Living and traveling throughout the United States since he was 16, Jerry played in many a honky tonk and roadside dive. Playing 6 nights a week for years, he gradually made it up to New England in the 70s and has lived in the region ever since.

Throughout the 80s, Jerry played it all: rockabilly, jazz, country, blues, western swing, you name it. He has appeared on several recordings for Rounder, Flying Fish, and High Tone Records.

Sometime in the late 80s, Jerry picked up an old Gibson model A mandolin to see what he could do with it. It didn''t take long for him to realize that he loved playing the instrument. A stint with the Providence Mandolin Orchestra, repeated offerings for him to instruct at seminars, and rave reviews for his acoustic and electric mandolin recordings with artists as varied as Magic Dick and J. Geils'' Bluestime, The Spurs, and Appalachian swing band, The Hatfield McCoy Trio, have established Jerry as one of the premier mandolinists in the New England area.

Give a listen, this guy will knock you out!
