About the Artist
Susan Bailey is a gifted singer, songwriter and guitarist performing all original music of hope and inspiration. Her style ranges from upbeat commercial pop to soothing acoustic folk, but the lyrical content is not ear candy. Susan''s music delivers a heartfelt message geared towards introducing the listener to a personal relationship with God and a life dedicated to service. She counts Joni Mitchell, Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris, John Michael Talbot, Amy Grant, and the Beatles among her influences. Her voice has been likened to Linda Ronstadt and Karen Carpenter.

Ron Zabrocki, seasoned NY producer who has recorded the likes of Mariah Carey and Michael Bolton has said of Susan: "The absolute best Catholic Recording artist anywhere . . . Susan writes and sings from the heart. Her positive style transcends ALL religions and will be the one to bring Catholic music to the masses." Michael Zabrocki, well known Catholic recording artist writes, "A wakeup call to the heavily produced world of Christian music: Susan Bailey should emerge as one of the Catholic Church''s most gifted singer/songwriters today. She is one the purest singers in the game.

About the Album
"Teach Me to Love" is Susan''s debut album and features twelve original adult contemporary songs meant to lead the listener into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, which would then inspire a life of service. Some songs are based on scripture and others are based upon experiences, struggles and desires in Susan''s own life.

Michael Zabrocki writes of "Teach Me to Love": "I don''t often write reviews but Ms. Bailey''s "Teach Me To Love" deserves attention. "Teach Me To Love" takes the listener on a colorful spiritual journey...the songs present deep spiritual truths in a delightful style. When Ms. Bailey sings - the soul of the listener sings along as well. Ms. Bailey''s lyrics become the listener''s prayers. She is a gifted lyricist. The styles range from ballad to soft rock - really, there is something for all tastes. A review of this artist and album could not be complete without mentioning the vocal ability of Ms. Bailey (and the vocal arrangements, harmonies, etc...) - her voice is obviously her primary instrument. Her tone is pure and she exudes a humble confidence that makes the listener feel like she is singing only for them! Nice to see such talent used for the Glory of God! Highly Recommended!"

Nick Alexander from CT writes: "This is a wonderful inspirational album. There are songs on this that bring me into the presence of God. "Simon, Son of John" is . . . a perfect song . . .catchy, reverent, takes a familiar passage in Scripture and illuminates it for us. "Come into His Heart", is congregational-friendly and touching. The title track, "Teach Me to Love", is filled with passion and tenderness. There''s a lot to like in this album, and worthwhile for your quiet times."

Catholic Marketing Network, Vol. 3, Issue 3
" . . . music that has heart and penetrares to the meaning of the song breaking down the walls of indifference."

"Come Holy Spirit" is a jubilant call. "Stand Up and Be Joyful" makes you want to do just that.
The Catholic Register, July 2000
" . . . beautiful ballads, including tributes to Mother Teresa ("Teach Me to Love", "Something Beautiful") as well as a song for a friend who died of AIDS ("I Will Remember You")."
