I Attempted It Many Times On The Surface But Was Not Willing To Put Forth The Effort It Would Take To Get To The Point I Am At Today Because I Was Afraid Of Failure. I Always Knew That God Was Calling Me To Do This But I Was Afraid, So Afraid That I Had Given Up On Life And God. At One Point I Was A Homeless Person Living In The Streets Of Atlanta, Georgia.
I Came From A Good Family. No One Understood Why I Was Giving Up. I Wasn''t Happy Because I Wasn''t Doing What God Intended For My Life. I Just Wanted To Ignore The Fact That What I Was Supposed To Do Was Risky And Had No Guarantees. Really I Had No Faith In God''s Plan For Me. I Couldn''t Find Anyone Who Agreed I Should Go Down This Road And Spend Money On Doing A Cd When I Needed Other Things A Lot More; Even My Clothes Left A Lot To Be Desired. The Call From God Became Too Great. The Pain And Suffering My Life Had Endured Was Convincing Me I Had To Be A Messenger, A Messenger To Help Others.
The Life I Led Was A Hard One. I Believe God Gave Me The Gift To Write Songs So They Would Carry A Message To Someone Else In His Or Her Time Of Need Out Of A Crisis And Back To The Straight And Narrow.
Failing At Everything Else I Tried To Do I Decided To Say Ok God You Give Me Songs And Although I Don''t Play An Instrument And I Have No Idea What Key I Sing In I Will Have Faith That You Know What You Are Doing. That''s A Very Scary Place To Be!
Fear Of Stepping Out In Faith Was The Biggest, Hardest And Most Crippling Mountain I Had To Climb. Once I Realized That Fear Was My Only Obstacle And That God Was Bigger Than Fear I Started To Take One Step After Another To Achieve My Goal For God And Here It Is For The World To See. What Purpose Will It Fulfill? Only God Knows But Hey I Climbed That Mountain And That Just Makes Me Ready To Climb The Next Mountain.

My Story….
I Am A 48 Year Old Female Who Has Struggled All My Life With One Set Back After Another. I Took The Hard Road Because Of This, That Or The Other; Reasons That Don''t Really Matter Now That I Look Back On It. The Reason I Am Doing This Is Because I Am A Person Who Overcame. I Believe I Can Help Others To Overcome. The Only Thing Is I Need Avenues In Which I Can Do Just That.
I Left Home At 15 Years Old. I Escaped A Man Who Tried To Force Me Into Prostitution. He Found Me And Tried To Throw Me Off The Top Of A Building But Two People Came To My Rescue. I Joined The Service At 16 Years Old Went Through A Captains Mast And A Court Marshal Before They Decided To Give Me A Void Enlistment Out Of The Service. I Have Been In And Out Of Jail So Many Times I Lost Track Of It.
Although I Went To Jail And Sometimes Stayed A Few Months Waiting To Go To Court I Never Got Sentenced To Prison. I Should Have Been But For Reasons Only God Knows I Found Mercy On The Court And They Would Give Me Probation.
I Walked Through Hellholes Where Armed Police Officers Would Not Go. I Was Homeless And Drifting. I Was Abducted By Two Men And Raped Then When It Got Dark The Men Put A Gun In My Side And Were Going To Find A Place To Take Me And Kill Me But They Ran Into A Police Road-Block. I Was Abducted Again At A Phone Booth And Had To Jump From A Moving Car At 70 Mph. I Suffered Only A Broken Ankle. Not Even A Scratch From The Asphalt Just A Broken Ankle From The Impact Of Landing.
The Turning Point In My Life Came When I Was In Jail And A Lady Was Arrested During A Christian Protest Against Abortion And She Was My Roommate. She Became So Concerned Over My Life And Where It Had Been And Where It Could Go That She And Her Husband Together With Other Members From Her Church Decided To Do The Unthinkable. They Offered Me A Chance To Be All I Could Be.
Waiting In Jail For A Court Date Because I Could Not Bond Out, No One I Knew Would Take A Chance On Me Because To Them It Looked As If I Was Doomed To Be A Failure Yet These Two People Built An Additional Room And Bathroom On To Their House So I Could Come Live With Them And They Could Teach Me The Ways Of Christ. Complete Strangers. These People Knew Nothing About Me And Had Met Me In Jail. They Took A Big Chance With A Teenager And Two Small Children At Home But They Took Me In Anyway. My Life Has Never Been The Same.
I Finally Know Peace And Have My Whole Life Ahead Of Me. God Transformed Me. He Had His Hand On Me My Whole Life So I Could In The End Send A Positive Message To Those Who Are Lost That You Can Overcome. God Saved Me Totally From Others And Myself.
I Am Looking For Avenues In Which To Share My Testimony And To Help Others Like Myself. I Know It Would Only Benefit Those Who Heard My Story To Allow Me To Speak Out.
