I was born in Philadelphia, Pa. As a small child I was blessed with the gift of singing. I was freqently asked to sing in schools , talent shows and won 1st prize singing Patty Labelle , song Down the Aisle. I appearred in local plays,night clubs ,cabarets and often asked to sing in local churches and Banquets. I was chosen to be the lead singer for The Three degrees, (before they made their big hit,"When will I see you again") but I decided to marry and my priority was to be a full time wife and mom; We had two sons.
I thank God for being there for me even when I didn''t know Him. Revelation 3:20.... I know now that our lives are predestinated, what happens too us in life is planned for our good. We actually think that we have things in control but we don''t God in His infinite Glory controls our lives. We are here for a purpose and that is to achieve life greatest gift of all, and that is God amazing grace, look all around Gods universe and you will agree. That is why I am inspired to sing Gods praises and worship him with all my being.... Psalms 100 and 1st Timothy 1:1.
My favorite artists are Mahalia Jackson and Shirley Ceasar. And my favorite Secular artists are Patte Labelle and Celine Dion.
These following songs means a lot too me. My first Album Lord you Kept me. reminds me of all the trails and tribulatins I had to endure. God can keep you in the mist of your storm. In the late 80''s I decided to attend nursing school to become a nurse. I knew then God wanted me to sing but I wanted to be a nurse, sometime we do things our way. God in His mercy and grace saw fit to forgive me. He brought me through nusing school anyway, that''s just how good God is.(my desire was to become a nurse but God desire was for me to worship Him and to sing His praises).
Prior to the late 80''s in the mid 70''s I asked God to save me and to rule in my life . I was extremely depressed and could not sleep. One night I set at my bedroom window and I looked up /out at the night sky, I than asked God to become Lord and Savior of my every being. I was able to sleep. After waking the next morning I found myself reading Gods word . I than read St. John 3:3-3-7 , which states. You must be born again or you can not see the kingdom of God. At that moment, I asked, God again to come into my life.
I realize that God was there for me all the time comforted me through a painful miscarriage, and the restoration of my marriage. I faced financial difficulties and had to struggle with the loss of my first born son., And how devastating it was for my younger son ( how he adored his brother)I knew I had to be strong for my precious Timothy who is my joy , treasure ,my strengh and my reason for living.
Sometime God will take us shape and make us into what He wants us to be. I learned to trust, obey and to depend on God for all my needs.
In the 90''s I promised God if He would keep me through all my trials and tribulations. I would serve Him , worship and sing His praises until He calls me home. My heart desire is to be used by Him and to be in His perfect, permissive and submissive will.I thank God for giving me the will and the ability to write/compose inspirational songs.I hope that my songs will continues to be a blessing to all of you.
