Music has been a part of Danny''s family all his life, a thread that''s bound them over the years. During high school and for some years after service in the navy, Danny sang and played drums in various bands, including his Dad''s small-town Country & Western band. When Danny retired from his “real” job a few years ago, it seemed only natural to take his music into a home-studio to write his songs.
The majority of Danny’s songs come from his experiences growing up in rural Alabama and Georgia. Danny was born in California, because his father was stationed there with the Navy. When he was three years old, Danny and his father moved home to Alabama. Danny has many fond memories of his formative years growing up in Wicksburg (Alabama), Albany (Georgia) and Huntsville (Alabama).
Even though Danny has a natural bend toward humorous depictions of his background and the overall “human condition”, he has ventured into both the blues and jazz genres. Currently, he is in the process of recording more songs.
