Songwriter, guitarist Ben Porter intended to record a few songs for himself. After finding the perfect studio and musician in Tom Tincler he asked old friend Andrew Lowenstein to sing the vocals and a few songs turned into a full album. Ben and Andrew met and at Winchester High School(Massachusetts) and played together before heading on their own musical paths. Ben played in and around the clubs and colleges in Boston. Andrew went west to the bar cicuit in California and Colorado before settling on Cape Cod with the evolving jam band Slow Children. Tom Tincler toured extensively with the progressive rock band Lord of the Rings and now runs a studio in Walpole Mass. If you like guitar you''ll love this album. You''ll find everything from finger picking acoustic to sreaming leads and hammer ons and everything in between. This is a true album about loss, redemption and hope with words ranging from the simple to introspective with a poetic flair unified by the vocal talents of Andrew. The name Desolation Angel came from the title song that started as a poem inspired by the novel from beat generation writer Jack Kerouac titled Desolation Angels.
